All three of these gutty balls are well used. These 3 balls are typical of many used golf balls in the 1890s. Back then gutty balls were used until they were pretty beat up. These 3 still have a little life left in them!
I decided to include these three balls as a reminder that all of the many nice golf balls in this auction came from just two exceptionally well-built collections. The vast majority of the antique and vintage golf balls that remain are not in the mint, unused, or slightly used condition of those in this auction.
The ball in the middle is marked "Silver Town" on one pole only, c 1890's. The other two balls are unmarked.
