Alex Patrick was born in 1845, two years before his father, John, set up his club making business in Leven, Scotland. Alex became an apprentice in 1857 before finally taking over the family business in 1866, where he remained for most of his life. The only exception to his tenure as a club and ball maker there in Leven was a two year stint as club maker and greenskeeper to the Royal Wimbledon Golf Club.

Owner's initials "WLK" are stamped on the head above patrick's "A Patrick" stamp.  The 37" hickory shaft is old if not original, and the is a modern sueded leather replacement, which matches up well with the club.

The head measures 1 1/16" in face depth, 5 1/4" in length, and 1 3/4" in width. The finish on the head is old, with an added coat of varnish. There is a small dent on the top of the head, but when viewed in real life it is of minor consequence. This club is solid and handsome!
