Marked Gyrascope and Mashie on its face, the Gyrascope irons are one of the few that placed they marks there.  "Pat Pend" is stamped on the sole.  The 37" shaft and leather-wrapped grip are original.  This club features deep grooves set an an angle on the face, running from toe to heel.  While this club looks like it would be far better suited to hitting a big slice, it became persona non grata at the USGA in 1924, when it declared deep groove backspin clubs verboten.
