Unlike some of the other "Crescent Colonel balls" made later by the St. Mungo Manufacturing Company in Glasgow, the first release truly did showcase a pattern of stamped crescents! Not only is it unique to look at, but according to a 1913 advertisement, it also floats (not sure if it still will).

This ball has a few light strike marks and one significant gash on one of the poles. This gash appears to go through the cover.  Still, the bright original paint and unique pattern of crescent moons all over this ball carry the day.  This globe will display extremely well—plus the strike mark will go away it the name on the other pole is placed front and center.
