This is a great ball! And rare! Marked “W&D Baby” on one pole and “Pat Ap 11-99” on the other, this Wright & Ditson ball is currently listed only in Leo Kelly’s 1993 Golf Ball and Reference Guide.

This ball came on the market early in the 20th century—around around 1900 or a few years thereafter, when various balls were produced under Haskell's April 11, 1899 patent and so marked.  The surface, covered with a unique pattern of small circles, is just a tad bit worn and dirty compared to out-of-the-box unused, but if it was used it was used very little.  Oh Baby, you may be 120-years-old now but you still look great!

This ball is front row left in the group shot in the accompanying images.
