Offered here is a wooden mallet fancy face putter . It dramatic face design consists of a black fiber insert that holds 4 medium size and 1 large size circular inserts. These white inserts could be ivory or a plastic substitute of some type. They do have the appearance of ivory.
The maker left their name off the club, leaving the crown to be stamped with a custom name which never happened. The aluminum soleplate is marked "Pat. Pending". The large metal backweight still has its two original rivets, used to help fasten the weight in place. The original 33 1/2" shaft still has its original leather grip.
Such a strong visual face design on a putter is exceedingly rare. The most attractive fancy face clubs are usually drivers, brassies, and spoons. Top to bottom, this is a most attractive club in fine original condition.
