This Vulcan matched Stainless V-V iron set consists of 8 clubs, a 1 through 8 iron with the 8 being a putter.  This set was offered for $68 in Vulcan's 1928 Catalog, with a 55 spade mashie available as an add-on if desired. The catalog notes that Vulcan matched stainless irons were "carefully matched and coordinated in length, lie, loft, weight and balance—each club 'feels' the same."

The set offered here is all original in clean condition and certainly looks matched, with the number "4320" stamped on each clubhead. The backs are also stamped 1 iron, 2 iron, 3 iron, 4 iron, 5 mashie, 6 mashie niblick, 7 niblick, and 8 putter.

The putter is original to the set and has an exceedingly long 6 3/4" hosel and a long, slender blade.  This set is stamped "V-V" which indicates that these clubs are a little longer and lighter than those stamped with a single "V"
