Included in this lot are two putters made in the early twentieth century by The Standard Golf Company of Sunderland, England.
1) The "Braid-Mills" aluminum putter was made famous by Open Champions Jas. Braid & Harry Vardon. It is stamped with the logo and corresponding patent number on the top of the along with the model number (1015), lie (medium), and head weight (10 oz) on the sole. Original 34" shaft is stamped "A Yates."
2) The "New Mills" aluminum putter is similarly stamped on the bottom with its model number (RBB), lie (flat) and head weight (10 oz 1 drs). The top of its head has the logo stamp, patent number, and registration number engraved along with "Roy Smith." Original shaft measures 34" with original leather-wrapped grip.
Shafts and grips are original. Condition as shown in the images.
