Kroydon's brick face irons were covered under a US patent issued in
1920 to Arthur Kraeuter. A fair number of these were produced, designed
to add backspin to the golfer's shot, before clubs with deeper grooves
were ruled non-conforming effective on Jan 1, 1924.
This beautiful example has its original 36 5/8" shaft and leather-wrapped grip. The head has
been nicely cleaned up and looks stunning. The owners
initials "EGI" are stamped on the back of the blade along with "AJ Lesperance" the golf professional who likely sold the club.
