Marked "Frank Brady" on the back of the blade and "Patents Pending" on the bottom of the sole, this putter was covered under US Patent 1,525,137 applied for in 1922 by Charles Lawton.  The top of the back of the flange is marked "The Deadly Overspin Putter" as, according to the patent, the convex blade was designed to "roll the ball along close to the ground and in a straight line" because the convex face imparts overspin to the ball without "crowding it toward the ground."

Also unique to this Deadly Overspin putter is the flat base of the hosel where it connects to the thin, curved blade.  The base of the hosel is actually the thinnest part of the gunmetal head. Also, the back of the flange is actually the top of a very narrow sole.

The 34 1/2" shaft is original as is the leather wrap grip.  The face is marked with its original dot punches inside a heart-shaped sweetspot.
