Here we have a nice Ivora putter with its original "ivora" face produced by Crawford, McGregpr & Canby. The back of the head bears the stamp of "Frank Kennett, Kalamazoo," the professional who sold this club.
According to a 1915 advertisement, these
putters gave a smooth roll to the ball and were "deadly". The Ivora putter had an "ivora" insert that looks just like ivory, but isn't. The 34 1/4" shaft and leather wrap grip are original. This is an exceptionally nice Ivora putter. Nice, clean examples like this one are hard to find.
