This lot consists of three balls. The first is a c. 1920 Atlas mesh-pattern golf ball. The only recorded reference for this ball is in Kevin McGimpsey's "The Story of the Golf Ball" book, but the maker is unknown. This example is mint, in the wapper, the wrapper having a few tears—enough to make a positive ID. The second ball is a mint Slazenger Pre-Powered dimple ball in its original wrapper. c. 1960. The third is a mint in the wrapper Dunlop 65 that is also stamped "St. Andrews Scotland" on its equator. The Dunlop 65 dimple ball was introduced in 1934 and made for many years.
