The face has a small leather repair plus a few significant cracks, and the bottom of the head also has a major crack. and even the horn has a crack! This play club measures 44" in length amd has its original shaft and sheepskin grips.

Even with all the damage inflicted on this club, it shows well. Long nose clubs were prone to damage, especially in the gutty ball era when this club was made, but when damage was inflicted upon a club its owner often kept it in the line up even if that meant inflicting more damage. As long as the club had not blown apart, it was often still seen as usable. Long nose clubs were not cheap, and many golfers were not of a mind to change out a club if it worked well for them and was not broken.
