The Telegraph Manufacturing Co. began producing their mesh pattern Cestrian gutta percha ball in 1898.In July of 1902, Golf Illustrated noted, "These balls were nearly always hard, lively, and beautifully painted." This ball appears unused with minor chips to its original paint.
