Made by the Ceramic Arts Company, Lenox Mugs are genuine works of art.  This mug is not only made from thin porcelain, the entire scene on the exterior is hand painted. No two Lennox mugs are identical, but they are all gorgeous!  This particular example features two golfers, one stroking a putt while the other looks on.

The Ceramic Arts Company was founded in Trenton, New Jersey in 1889.  Lenox took control of CAC around 1895 and changed the name to Lenox China Company in 1906.  This example bears the CAC Lenox mark, dating it circa 1900.

The mug is nigh unto perfect original condition. Simply put, its gorgeous. But it’s not just a beauty queen.  It can also serve in practical ways, such as a pencil holder in an office or on a desk. The base and the handle have been given a deluxe treatment that is more on the decorative side of things.

The Ceramic Arts Company was known for its high quality, and today Lenox pieces are treasured far and wide for their original artwork and sheer beauty. It's the shine, color, and artistic creativity of beautiful antique golf-themed ceramics that can add serious sparkle to any golf display or collection.

The other three items in the accompanying group image are not part of this lot.
