Marked “Fine Silver” on the inside of its lid, this wind up pocket watch includes its original key and golf motif watch holder, complete with golf clubs.  The ball-shaped holder is notched out at the top to allow for the watch to set securely in place.  The auctioneer did not try winding up the watch, so maybe the watch works or not. But no matter, it’s all about the presentation, and this watch and watch holder strike a fabulous pose.  There are a number of truly special, extremely rare decorative items in this auction that one collector has spent over 25 years to track down, and this is one of them.
