Henry Doerr received a US patent in December of 1923 that covered this Doerr Topem putter. When this club is set behind the ball, the face curves forward as it rises up from the ground. The putter was designed to strike the ball above its equator and thereby provide topspin, so the ball would "dive" into the hole given half a chance.
This club is all original and in above average condition. The owners name (R.H.George) is stamped on the top of the flange, and Doerr Topem is stamped on the top of the blade,
