If you love the Old Course at St. Andrews, you will love this early 20th century drypoint etching of the Royal & Ancient clubhouse with the 18th green and first tee in the foreground.  It is a timeless work of art signed by the artist, Martin Johnston, in the lower right-hand margin.

A previous owner had this piece properly mounted and beautifully reframed complete with double matting and Museum UV glass. The original label and description provided by the original reseller on the back of the oroginal frame was saved and is included. The original seller was Robertson & Bruce Ltd. Fine Art Dealers of Dundee, Scotland.  The title of the piece, "The Royal and Ancient Golf Club, St. Andrews", is engraved in the lower left-hand portion of the image and is also on the original seller label.

Drypoint etching are ususally on the smaller side, but his image is not. As framed, this image measures 21" x 15".  The image itself measures 14 1/4" by 8 1/2". This is a simple yet elegant work of art depicting the most famous golf course in the world.  It would grace the most beautiful of homes.
