This unusual duplex club was designed for a golf game playable at home, in the yard, or on sea going vesssels! In 1894, W.S Simpson applied for two patents to cover his "The new Game Lawn and House Golf" which included this club.  Simpson never received an actual patent. Nevertheless, he marketed his game and its clubs as "patented."

This splice neck clubhead has a thin crack visible on both the left- and right-hand face.  The original sheepskin is gone but the original underlisting remains.  This club is not in the best of shape, but it is interesting, old, and quite rare.

For more info on this club see TCA2 v2 p687.
