With an intricate copper winged golf ball inlaid in an aluminum face, this Faith Super Flight spoon is an outstanding fancy face wood, made at some point in the 1930s. It's beauty and rarity earned it a spot in the forefront of a full page image on page 135 of The Golf Club. An image of that page which includes a black Master 30 wood is shown with these images.
During the depression, clubmakers often relied on cosmetics—making their clubs beautiful and distinctly attractive—to entice golfers to buy new clubs. Some things never change ;)
