Each of these four Royal Doulton Proverb Series Ware plates have two different "proverbs", which you can read in the images. The plates themselves are in wonderful condition—rich color, no cracks, chips etc—only light crazing as is usually found on such old plates. One of the plates, however, is absolutely pristine. It's not often that you come across a complete set of these plates.
