The matchbook itself is the "Cadillac" of Matchbooks. It's plastic, not cardboard like other matchbooks, and will snap onto the golfer's belt. Instructions for doing so are still in the matchbook. "Pat 3,203,700" is in relief on the head of each tee, but is extremely difficult see. This patent references an August 31, 1965 US patent that covers the ball makers and explains how they will also fit onto the tees to set the height of tee, and how they will work to clean grooves in an iron and help the golfer with their alighment when teeing off.
Plus, this matchbook is designed to connect the tees and ballmarker so they will not come lose unless they need to be removed. Quite a bit of engineer and production design went into this set. Everything is original and in unused condition.
