Written by the 1887 & 1889 British Open champion Willie Park Jr, this book contains a great deal of information about the game of golf, its equipment, and many things related thereto.
According to Donovan and Jerris in their work The Game of Golf and the Printed Word 1566-2005, in composing the chapter entitled “Laying Out and Keeping Golf-Links,” Park became the first practicing golf course architect to illuminate the theoretical and practical aspects of his design philosophy.
The front, back, and spine are good, the hinges are good. There is some slight foxing on various pages throughout the book. Despite being almost 125 years old, this book remains in good condition.
