Marked "Spalding Bramble" on both poles inside a large ring, this ball is made from solid gutta percha. It likely dates around 1900 or within a few years thereafter. Spalding continued to offer gutty balls for a few years after the rubber-core Haskell was introduced in 1899.
This particular ball was used and has a few crease marks. Even so, it still retains most of its paint and looks good. In excellent condition.
