The light-colored walking stick is quite unusual. The wood head has a face insert and backweight that is also made of wood. The slip on the sole does not use any dowels.
The head on the dark-colored walking stick shows wear to the finish. The wear is directly related to where the original owner would grip the head while walking with this stick. The fiber face insert and the horn on the sole both use three wood dowels. The lead in the back of the head is original as are the white/black/white ivorine/fiber rings around the neck.
