This c. 1875 McEwan Long Nose has "Long Spoon"  written in script on the sole by the clubmaker.  This beautiful club  shows little to no use. The club, with reddish-brown greenheart shaft, measures 43 1/2 inches in length.  The sheepskin grip is original as is the whipping at the top and base of the grip.  Neck whipping is original except for a 3/4-inch section at the very top of the neck (the replace section matches well).  There is a slight loss of varnish on the top of the head but the finish still presents exceptionally well. The contrast between the thin reddish-brown shaft and the golden blond head makes this an especially attractive club. It would be a stand-out in any collection.
