Offered here is a pristine example of a c. 1915 backwards putter made by the Monel Metal Products Corporation, of Bayonne, New Jersey. Monel metal was a noncorrosive mixture of metals consisting of 67% nickel, 28% copper, and 5% other metals. It does not rust, is easily cleaned, and will always remain bright though not highly reflective.
Shaft and grip are original. A fine collectible in outstanding shape! For more on this club, see The Clubmaker's Art 2nd Edition, Vol 1, p262. The ball included in some of the accompanying images is not part of this lot. It is offered separately elsewhere in this auction.
