Stamped "AJ Reach Co" in script on the crown, this putter has its original 39 1/4" shaft.  This appears to be the original length of this club. It still has its original grip which, at 14 1/2" in length, is also extra long. At just over 39" in length, this is among the longest wood shaft putters a person could hope to collect.

Long putters certainly have had a place in the game. The golfer's height, health, and preference can all play a role in choosing a long putter over a typical 35" putter.   Ray Floyd played for many years with an extra long putter. He was almost standing up. He said that was the only way he could practice enough without hurting his back to stay competitive on the PGA Tour.

With its original brass face, brass soleplate, finish, grip, and extra long shaft, this is a wonderful club.
