This
mint box of 12 "The Bobby" steel tees was made by the Multi Products
Corp of Plainfield, NJ. Metal tees in general had a short life span, as
they were rejected by the market in relatively short order.
Looking at these tees you could certainly see how they could easily
become lost after a shot and then found when mowing..... not such great
features back in the 1920s. But a great box of tees today!
Bobby Tees came in both red and yellow. The box states that Bobby Tees were designed, played, and endorsed by
Bobby Cruickshank, the famous Scottish pro who won 17 times on the PGA
Tour during the 1920s and 30s. This particular box is solid—it appears to have been moved very little during its lifetime.
This lot is shown to the far right in the group picture.
