Marked with a Phoenix address, this Ping "Dalehead" Anser was made
just a few short years after the Anser was introduced in 1966. It has
the same exact head shape as the Ansers marked with a Scottsdale
address, only the address on the back is different. Karsten changed the
address plate in the mold to reflect his new location in Phoenix, but
did not change the mold itself.
These putters remain popular today. The provide the same great look and
feel as found in the Scottsdale-marked Ansers. The 33" shaft which
measures 5" to its first step. The Grip Line grip is old, shaped much like the Informer grips Ping did use, but likely not original. The head with its rocker sole is exceptionally nice. The finish was redone by PING, or so the auctioneer believes, and it looks great! These early Ansers remain one of the absolute best, most responsive putters in the game.
