This stunning box was crafted in 1987 for White House gift giving purposes when Ronald Reagan was president of the United States.  The 2 7/8" gold-plated medallion bears the seal of the President of the United States in relief on one side and Ronald Reagan's Signature and presidential title engraved on the other side.  This medallion was original glued into position in the top of the box.  The glue has let go, fortunately, and we are able to see for whom this Presidential box was made.  And when and by whom (and that this medallion is thick and heavy!):

"C. 1987, Metallic Art Co. - Danbury, CT. - Bronze .999 Silver-Plated" is engraved on the side of the 9/32" thick medallion.  The box measures 6 7/8" x 5 1/2" x  2 3/8" tall.  Box weighs approximatley 1.4 lbs.  Medallion itself weighs .4 pounds, and is 3" in diameter.

In the accompany images, the medallion has placed in different positions to acknowledge that it is not glued in place. The first images shows the proper place of the medallion.

This Ronald Regan presidential box is absolutely fabulous.  It is heavy, impressive to the extreme, and the craftsmanship is simply the best. This box would make a great home for six golf balls no matter what they are—or anything else that would fit!!
