This Wright & Ditson driver is stamped "RNM / Pat' June 2, 1914 / Pat. Applied For" on the soleplate. The unique feature of this club is the full length of the shaft is spliced to a much shorter length (7 1/2") that sockets into the head. "RNM" is the model number for this wood as offered by Spalding in their 1922, 1923, and 1924 catalog. Grip is original. Fiber on the face, brass backweight, and brass soleplate are original to this club.
TCA2: Vol1, p. 168 includes pictures that show exactly how the two-piece shaft is laid out, as one of the clubs pictured there does not have any whipping on the neck.
