Created to simulate ivory, French ivory was actually made from a celluloid plastic. This large box is embossed "Ivoris French Ivory Products" and measures 5 3/4" long, 4 1/2" wide, and 2 3/4" tall. It is covered in a cloth like fabric with a floral texture and sheen. The box itself is fully intact, however there is some water discoloration.

The box may or may not be original to the tees, but the auctioneer believes it likely is.  These vintage tees are made from ivory-like material that even feels like ivory.

Its possible that they originally came in a single large bag that filled the box.  It's also possible that there were a number of smaller bags inside.  A sizeable but much smaller number of tees remain.  Marked "Lawson & Jones" on their tops, the remaining tees are currently held in a black velvet pouch of modern origin.
