Big things sometimes come in small packages and this track iron is exactly that. Don't let the tiny, delicate looking head fool you--this stout iron head packs a punch!
This unmarked circa 1860 track iron has a 5" hosel, and a thick/heavy
head with a beautifully dished face. The club weighs just over 18 ounces, which is heavy, especially when you consider that all the weight
is out on the far end of a 37 3/4" shaft. The shaft is original, with the hosel pin untouched and blending into the hosel on
both sides so well its hard to find. The grip is a modern day sheepskin replacement but done so well that its easy to think its old.
Handsome, very handsome is this club.
The ball shown in the images is not part of the lot but shown for perspective. It is available elsewhere in this auction.
