This Ping 69 putter is an interesting club. The back cavity is finished with a gold coating, something Karsten tried for a period of time. However, in this instance it blocks out the lettering underneath. This could be a scottsdale or not.
It has the Z shaft which Karsten designed in response to the USGA rules that made the bends in the grips of his putters non-conforming. There is even a small "Z" stamped directly underneath the "69" out on the toe.
The grip is a newer Ping grip that is bored to recreate some of what was lost when Karsten could no longer bend the shafts at the base of the grip on his putters.
