This attractive golf plaque has a wood back, an inlaid clock, and sterling front made and hallmarked by William Vaile & Sons, of Birmingham, England. The clock has not been tested, but does not appear damaged in any way. This item measures 6 1/2 " x 5 1/2 " tall. The word "patent" is stamped on the side of the clock.
According to the auctioneer research the hallmark on this piece is a makers mark first used in 1907 but was used for a number of years thereafter. The silver face is also marked "RD 561406" which is a British design registration number that dates to 1910.
