This sterling silver cigarette case measures 4" wide by 3 1/4 " tall and has a hand painted, enameled front. The inside of both the front and back are nicely gilded and the name "Cecil M. Pile" is engraved inside.  The hallmark stamp is also on the inside as is "Pat No 219190".  This British patent number dates to 1924.

The four golfers on the front are, from left to right, JH Taylor, Ted Ray, Harry Vardon, and James Braid.  In short, the Great Triumvirate plus Ted Ray. 

The open close spring load latch works fine.   In outstanding condition.
