This Scotty Cameron putter is a raw finish Coronado Tour Prototype and comes with a Scotty Cameron Certificate of Authenticity issued August 29, 2023.  The certificate, complete with the hologram and embossed studio seal is shown in the images that accompany this lot and will be included with the purchase of this lot.

As shown in the images, there is a Cameron crown stamp on the face and his name stamped on the heel. On the back of the putter TITLEIST has been crudely stamped. There is a lightly stamped sight dot on the top of the head. This club has a Scotty Cameron 35" bulls eye flair tip satin shaft with a Scotty Cameron rubber grip. Ever seen another Cameron with a Crown stamp in the middle of the face?  We are talking a genuine rarity here in many ways!

The story is that Cameron was making this putter for John Cook about the same time he, Cameron, was negotiating the deal with Titleist (completed in August of 1994). The deal purportedly required that, going forward, the Titleist name had to be on all Cameron's putters. in the middle of all of this, Cook wanted to use the putter except it wasn’t finished.  Therefore, to expedite matters, Cameron stamped  "TITLEIST" on the back of the blade and sent it out the door in its raw finish.

Cameron made many rare production run putters.  But this putter is 1 of 1.
