George Reitenour of Union City, Indiana, made this unique duplex putter.
"Ritz" is stamped in the lead alignment line atop the head. Reitenour received a US patent dated August 12, 1924, that covered this putter.
The lead in both the left-and right-hand face is identical in shape
and
thickness. According to the patent, the lead used to make both faces is
actually all one
piece, connected through holes bored in the center of the head between
the faces.
Ritz duplex clubs are rarely seen, being made and sold in Union City, Indiana. See The Clubmakers Art 2nd Edition,
volume 2, page 521 for more on these two-way clubs.
Original 35" shaft with a leather wrapped grip. Club shows normal wear.
