This hole-in-one displays the obedient "Silver King" ball between three drivers. The top plaque on the front reads "Pollard's Hill Golf Club / 11th Hole (308 Yards) In One By / Mr. Charles Studder / 26.5.29" (Pollard's Hill Golf Club in greater London was disbanded during WWII.)
The lower plaque reads, "With the Compliments of Silvertown."
The plaques are electroplated nickel steel and there is some silver loss to their surfaces. But what a shot Mr. Studder stuck. As hole-in-ones go, 308 yards is a mammoth one-and-done, especially in 1929! What a good golf ball!
