This lot consists of a circa 1930s "little brown" Jug with Silver Inlay with its original stopper and built in music box. The jug is not so little, however. It appears to be a healthy gallon jug, and is in superb original condition. There are minimal marks to the highly reflective ceramic surface and the silver inlays on the sides, the top of its handle, and the rim. Here is another fabulous piece the auctioneer has never seen before, and is it ever a beauty.
According to the label on the base, the music box will play "Sidewalks of New York" and "Two Little Blue Birds." There is a push pin mechanism in the base that stops the music if you place the jug on a flat surface. A small twist of the wind up mechanism revealed that the music box still works fine. Absolutely Outstanding!
The golf ball in the accompanying images is not part of this lot. It is included to show size perspective.
