This pipe appears to have never been used, as it is in pristine original condition. The silver overlay is as elegant as can be.  I have absolutely no idea how the silver, which appears as one solid piece, was placed on this pipe. The craftsmanship used to make this intricate sterling design and fasten it to the head is truly remarkable. "Silver Smith Sterling" is marked on the underside of the pipe.
