Dating to the early 1900s, this Marshall Field ball is not listed in any of the books that list old golf balls.  Marshall Field, however is a historic person and this ball was no doubt sold in the early 1900s by the company bearing his name.

Marshall Field (August 18, 1834 – January 16, 1906) was an American businessman and founder of Marshall Field and Company, a department store chain based in Chicago.  His business was renowned for its exceptional level of quality and customer service.

The ball does not have any strike marks and shows little use.
