Concentric-shaped lofter with "Ben Sayers" and "North Bedwick" stamped on the back, although half of the letters have worn off. It also has the owner's initials "P.H.B." Sayers, a highly respected clubmaker and player who played in the Open ever year from 1880 to 1923, likely sold this club out of his shop in North Berwick in the 1890s.
The original 37 3/4" shaft has letters stamped in it, but they are not readable. Original sheepskin grip.
