Named after famed golfer Harry Vardon, Spalding began manufacturing this ball in 1899. In an official advertisement in 1901 it was celebrated as "Vardon's own ball! Manufactured in England" from 'Special Gutta' and is without doubt the longest flying ball in the market today....Vardon claims for this ball a longer and truer flight."
Stamped "Vardon Flyer" on both poles, the white paint has worn away in areas, but the ball itself remains in great shape. It was likely never used.
This ball is in first ball in the second row of the group image.
