As one can imagine, paper tees did not wear well, nor last long. Even a single paper tee is of merit, which makes the complete and unused book of circa 1920 paper Novel-Tees offered here a great find! Produced by the Spureon
Mfg Co of Chicago, this book says there are enough tees for two games,
so that would be 36. The golfer could tear out a paper tee, unfold it
into shape, and place a ball on it to start each hole. Again, all the tees are in the book.
Each tee is printed with advertising for the for the Citizens &
Southern National Bank, where "No account too large, none too small."
Inside the booklet this rock solid institution boasted of having "total
resources" of $75 million dollars. Needless to say, these tees are
from a good while back...
This cover of this book even includes its original tear-away ad for obtaining additional books with or without advertising.
"Novel-Tees" —gotta love the name!
