Royal Doulton Stoneware, 1908. The humorous golf scene on the front depicts the golfers ball flying right into the midsection of the caddie, who is then knocked backwards as the clubs in the caddie bag are flying out. The caption under the picture reads "If a ball in motion be stopped or deflected by any agency....." The base is impressed with the Royal Daulton mark and "Rd No 525513". This British Design Registration number dates to 1908. The sterling silver rim at the top is hallmarked. Stoneware picture is 8 1/2" tall. This piece is pristine.
