The circa 1890s golfer modeled on this creative, unique silver-plate inkwell. It is solid, nicely made, and measures 8" wide x 3" deep x 5 1/2" tall.  The tree stump includes a lid that opens and closes to allow access to the ink.  The cup to hold the ink is still with this piece.  The cup allowed the owner to clean out any old, dried ink with ease.

The underside is marked PT&CoS for Pryor & Tyzack Company, Sheffield.  It is also marked "EPBM for "Electro Plated Britiannia Metal," an alternative to sterling silver.

This lot is in the accompanying group image.
