Made by Ben Sayers, and stamped "Ben Sayers, North Berwick," this Benny putter has its original shaft and grip. Halfway up the shaft, the shaft transforms from round to square, so the grip itself is square. The sole is the Sayer's Gruv-sol. The head itself is clean and has two guidelines in the top of the blade that appear to be original to this club, although most Benny putters do not have guidelines. (It should be noted that Benny putters were made for many years and in various incantations.) This putter is a rustless model in beautiful condition. A fun fact is that Jack Nicklaus won both of his US Amateur titles using a wood-shafted Benny putter custom made for him by The Ben Sayers golf shop. Jack's Benny putter was a slightly different model. The October 1961 issue of Golf Digest has Jack on the cover holding his hickory-shafted putter.
