These six c. 1930 metal tees include two Stur-D-Tees, two others which are marked but the auctioneer cannot make out, A "Rex" tee with a bent-into-position stem, and one other.
Metal tees were tried briefly, mostly just before and after 1930, but
were short-lived. Truth be told, they were in many respects like nails. They wreaked havoc on wood faces—and mowers. Consequently they are exceptionally difficult to find today. If a
person tried to collect just different vintage steel tees, they would have a very small collection.
